Update TLE data from the downloaded file in Gpredict, add the followed object (56231 or 58568), and use time control at the recorded pass date. Do not use these elements to predict current positions.

About the data and calculations

Snapshot checked 29 October 2026. ROM-2: observation 11356190, 5 April 2025, 09:24:07–09:34:08 UTC. ROM-3: observation 10516963, 4 November 2024, 18:55:16–18:59:43 UTC. Each replay is limited to its original observation window. Neither mission returned a current TLE when checked.

The 69-character TLE lines are preserved as supplied with the SatNOGS observations (upstream source: Space-Track.org). The catalog numbers are followed objects, not independent confirmation of spacecraft identity. Positions are propagated with satellite.js 7.1.0; the map is an equirectangular projection. Height is above the reference ellipsoid; station angles are geometric, without terrain or refraction correction. Orbital elements and propagation have uncertainty.

Selected observation metadata: SatNOGS Network contributors / Libre Space Foundation, CC BY-SA 4.0. Selection, formatting and explanatory labels by ROMSPACE. This does not relicense the upstream orbital elements. Map: Natural Earth, public domain. Calculations: satellite.js, MIT license.

Original ROM-2 amateur-radio specifications

The original mission page described a digital amateur-radio repeater, low-resolution SSDV images in GFSK mode, and a Morse-code identification beacon. Its coordinated downlink was 436.235 MHz. These are historical mission specifications, not an active transmission claim.
